Artwork featured in juried young artist exhibit.

The artwork of Natalie Martinek, a Schreiber High School junior, is featured at Long Island's Best: Young Artists at The Heckscher Museum. The exhibit runs from March 30-April 21 in Hungtington.

Martinek's work was selected to be part of a three-week student presentation that includes art from students in grades 9 through 12 from public and private schools throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

During the last 17 years, this program has grown to become a prestigious opportunity as the only juried exhibition on Long Island that offers high school students the opportunity to show their work in an art museum.

This year, the museum received 288 works of art for jurying. Of those entries, nearly 80 pieces were selected in various media for display.
