State of Town Address; Chinese New Year

Some happenings in and around Port Washington this week.

State of the Town Address: North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth is expected to speak on topics such as government transparency, customer service, environmental initiatives and town finances at her first State of the Town address Jan. 31 in Port Washington. The public event will take place at 1:15 p.m. at the Clubhouse at Harbor Links, at One Fairway Dr.

Chinese New Year: Acrobat Li Liu performs plate spinning, trick cycling, foot juggling, ribbon dancing and hand balancing at the Port Washington Library on Jan. 31. Learn various aspects of the Chinese language, geography and culture at the vent which begins at 12:10 p.m. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

LIRR Adds Extra Super Bowl Week Trains: To help fans get to and from Super Bowl-related events this week, the Long Island Rail Road will augment Port Washington Branch service to and from Penn Station from Jan. 29 until Feb. 1. Details
